Anti-Theft Guide
This is an anti-theft guide.
Through the social phenomenon of stealing, I surveyed Chinese international students studying in the UK. According to the survey data, about 28% of the international students surveyed have been secretly stolen, and about 14% have been robbed by bikers. The results of the survey confirmed that stealing is indeed a social problem that exists on the streets of the UK. This made me pay attention to the psychological activities of international students who have been stolen and those who are afraid of being stolen when they walk on the streets, and I started to collect some anti-theft measures that international students would take. However, after some research, I found that the probability of street theft has only increased no matter what methods are adopted to prevent theft. So, I used locks, keys, and chains in conjunction with our everyday objects to create some absurd fashion installations. Then, I used these props to create a street fashion shoot. I wanted to use these absurd fashion installations to map the meaninglessness of the anxiety and vigilance of the Chinese international student community about being stolen and about to be stolen.
