Photographic Competition

I chose to submit the Solo Exhibition Winner from All About Photo for a photography competition. The winner of this competition is eligible for a solo exhibition and a permanent exhibition in their online gallery on their website. In addition, All About Photo showcases the winning photographer's work on their social media accounts, giving the winner international visibility and media exposure. All About Photo's photographic competitions are open to photographers of any level around the world, and there are no restrictions on subject matter. So, I chose to submit my work to this competition.

I especially like this quote from the All About Photo website, "Look at lots of exhibitions and books and don't get hung up on cameras and technical things. Photography is about images." - Photographer Fay Godwin I think the most important thing in photography is the photographer's thinking and genuine emotion in the images. Because many of my photography projects are about fashion photography. Therefore, I chose to participate in this competition by combining my fashion and fine artwork. The project I participated in the competition is my personal project Topophilia, which I shot in my hometown Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province, China, using a combination of fashion and fine art. I wanted to express an emotional connection between people and places in this project. Another reason why I chose this project as my submission is that my hometown is a small town and many locals don't associate my hometown with fashion. So I want to use fashion to break the stereotypes of locals in my hometown and let them feel the beauty of Jingjiang, a small town near the river. So I think this is a very significant work for me and I would like to submit it for the competition.
