Johnny Dufort's work is full of surrealism. What I like even more is Dufort's use of light in his photography, Johnny Dufort's work is bold and vibrant, he is keen to use direct flash to make the colours of the image light and white. This use of light, like stretching the parameters of highlights and exposure, with some fading, is an integral part of his work, and Johnny Dufort's use of light is a great inspiration to me. I referenced Johnny Dufort's lighting for my Lala Land and Topophilia projects. In addition, Johnny Dufort is good at using special perspectives and compositions to make the characters, fashions and scenes have a witty and weird aesthetic. Everything in the image seems to be wandering in a surreal world. He creates a grotesque and fascinating image that makes the viewer unable to distinguish between the past and the present, the virtual and the real. This unique perspective gives the viewer a sense of wonder, and Johnny Dufort's way of creating has influenced me and helped me to bring a lot of inspiration into my photography.
