Exhibition: The Cult of Beauty
I saw this exhibition called The Cult of Beauty at the Wellcome Collection.

The exhibition illustrates the history of the cosmetics, skincare and medical aesthetics industries, as well as attitudes to beauty across generations and cultures. In addition, the exhibition talks about the influence of different races and groups on beauty. In this exhibition, I saw a German beauty instrument from 1930. There were also covers and aesthetic changes in Vogue since its inception. There was also the influence of the black community on beauty and how hard they worked for it. One of the most striking aspects of the exhibition was the work of a mixed-race artist from China and the United States. This artist extended the ideas in the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act cartoons. The artist built a ladder out of hair to cross the wall of racial distinction created by Western society. I think this kind of work has a strong critical thinking. I think beauty should break through the narrow space and lead to freedom.
